Slots on offer at several European airports

On 22 June 2009, the European Commission approved the acquisition of SN Airholding SA (Brussels Airlines) by Deutsche Lufthansa AG (Lufthansa) subject to conditions (Case M.5335).

On 28 August 2009, the European Commission approved the acquisition of Austrian Airlines AG by Lufthansa subject to conditions (Case M.5440).

In both cases, Lufthansa committed to facilitate the entry of new airlines on certain routes or the introduction of new frequencies by competing airlines on any of these routes by offering slots at the congested airports concerned. More specifically, Lufthansa offered to make available slots free of charge for operations on the following routes:
